A marriage proposal only happens once. That’s probably why the first question I get is almost never “how do you work,” it’s “how much does it cost.” Might as well answer that first, before we even get to locations and timing.
What does a session cost?
A proposal photo session in Paris starts at €250. Three packages, mainly differing in how much time I spend with you.
The proposal, from €250. One hour of coverage, ten edited photos, five images sent the next day, location scouting, and a covered backup plan if the weather turns.
Proposal + session, from €450. Two hours, twenty edited photos, two locations instead of one.
The weekend, from €600. The proposal, a couple session right after, then a second session the following day, forty edited photos, and fine-art prints.

What changes between €250 and €600
The difference between the three isn’t really the number of photos. It’s the number of chances you get.
At €250, everything happens within one hour. I’m in position before you arrive, at a distance, with a telephoto lens, and I get one window to catch the knee on the ground, your partner’s face, and the ten minutes after. It works, and it’s the package most couples choose. But there’s no retake.
At €450, you get some breathing room. Once the proposal is done and the adrenaline settles, we move to a different neighborhood and shoot again at a relaxed pace, this time with your partner aware they’re being photographed. These are often the best shots.
At €600, the next day gets added. It only makes sense if you’re staying in Paris for a few days and want photos where you’re both rested, styled, and dressed the way you’d planned. On the day of the proposal itself, nobody is ever in that state.

What about wedding photography pricing?
It’s a different service, and it’s worth saying clearly because the two searches get mixed up on Google. A wedding is a half-day or full day, several hundred images, getting-ready coverage, the ceremony, the reception. The budgets have nothing in common with a proposal session.
A proposal, by contrast, lasts one hour and is planned in advance. That’s why it starts at €250 and not €1,200.
When do you pay a proposal photographer?
With me, a €100 deposit secures the date, paid by card on the booking page. The balance is settled on the day of the session. No booking fees, no weekend surcharge.
Travel is included anywhere in Île-de-France. For a proposal elsewhere in France, I put together a quote and send it over before you need to decide anything.
Add-ons
These come on top of whichever package you choose, and none of them are required.
Extended session: +€150. Second photographer: +€250. Fine-art album, 20×20 cm: +€100. 20×30 cm prints: +€40 for ten photos. And if you’d rather skip the metro between locations, the car service (Tesla Model 3, four seats) is +€40 per hour, with pickup at the address of your choice.
Why prices vary so much in Paris
Search around and you’ll find offers at €150 or €180, and others at €1,400 or more. These aren’t the same thing.
Under €200, you’re almost always looking at a booking platform that sells a time slot and assigns a photographer at the last minute. You don’t know who’s coming, and there’s no location scouting. Above €1,000, you’re no longer buying a photo session but a full production: decoration, flowers, a musician, sometimes a private venue. The photography is just one line on the invoice.
In between, there are independent photographers doing this work in Paris, and €250 is a fairly common entry price in that group. I’m not trying to be the cheapest option or to position myself at the top of the range.
How far in advance should you book?
Three to four weeks on average. In high season, count on closer to two months. If your date is already close, write to me anyway: there’s often an early-morning slot open, which is the best time for these photos regardless. I go into more detail in the Trocadéro guide.
After the session, you get five images the next day to share with family and friends, and the full gallery within ten business days.
