This policy governs the cancellation and refund terms applicable to any photography session booked with Enes Dogan Photography, based in Paris. It is drafted in accordance with French law, in particular Article 1590 of the French Civil Code and Article L. 214-1 of the French Consumer Code, which govern deposits paid at the conclusion of a service contract.
1. Booking deposit
Every session booking is confirmed by the payment of a flat deposit of one hundred euros (€100), deductible from the total price of the session. This deposit secures the agreed time slot and constitutes a firm commitment from both parties.
2. Cancellation by the client
The client may cancel the booking free of charge and receive a full refund of the deposit, provided the photographer is notified in writing (by email, to the address listed on this site) no later than fourteen (14) calendar days before the agreed session date.
Beyond this deadline (that is, for any cancellation notified less than fourteen (14) days before the session date), the €100 deposit is retained in full by the photographer, as agreed compensation for the reserved time slot made unavailable to other clients. No refund, in whole or in part, may be claimed after this deadline.
3. Rescheduling
A request to reschedule, made by the client at least fourteen (14) days before the originally planned session, may be accepted without loss of the deposit, subject to the photographer’s availability. A rescheduling request made less than fourteen (14) days before the session will be treated under the same terms as a late cancellation, unless the photographer expressly agrees otherwise in writing.
4. Cancellation by the photographer
Should the photographer cancel the session for any reason, the full amount paid by the client will be refunded within fourteen (14) days of the cancellation notice, with no further compensation owed by either party, except in particular circumstances subject to a separate agreement between the parties.
5. Refund method
Any refund due under this policy is issued using the same payment method used for the original deposit, unless the client expressly agrees to another method, within fourteen (14) days of a valid cancellation notice.
6. Governing law and jurisdiction
This policy is governed by French law. In the event of a dispute concerning its interpretation or performance, and failing an amicable resolution, French courts shall have sole jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory provisions applicable to consumers residing in another European Union member state.
